10 Things to Do While Under Quarantine
The enhanced community quarantine has the government postponing all sporting, music, and other entertainment events, and closing down all recreational venues to help flatten the curve and keep us all safe. As we all comply to help stop the spread of the virus, there are a few things we can do to keep ourselves productive and entertained while at home.
1. Structure your days
For those of you whose schedules are a bit more flexible with the quarantine, it can be tempting to do whatever you feel like, whenever you feel like doing it. But doing this is a sure way to mess with your physical health, mental wellbeing, and overall productivity. Whether you work from home or not, be sure to create structured waking hours, lunches, and break times throughout your day.
2. Be Updated
Be informed with developments of COVID-19 and the community quarantine by tuning in to the news and following legitimate media pages. Watch out for fake news!
3. Clean and disinfect your home
Did you know the novel coronavirus can live on some surfaces for up to 3 days? Practice routine cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces that you touch frequently, such as doorknobs, light switches, tables, faucets, sinks, etc.
4. Get organized
If you’re usually on-the-go and in a hurry, you can now take the time to re-organize your home. Clean out cabinets, move some furniture, and figure out what you can donate or throw out.
5. Check up on your friends and family
Social distancing doesn’t mean you have to be fully isolated. Use Skype, Facebook, Facetime, and more to see how your loved ones are doing. It’s a challenging time for everyone so it’s important to be each other’s emotional support.

With so much information and misinformation, be sure to take breaks from social media once in a while. Stick only to reliable sources (WHO, DOH) and don’t scare yourself or worse, spread incorrect information.
