Prior to coins.ph, Ron was a founding partner at Innovation Endeavors, an early stage venture capital fund backed by Eric Schmidt. Ron was also the co-founder of TokBox (acquired by Telefonica), a consumer video conferencing company. TokBox was backed by Sequoia Capital, Bain Capital, Stanford University and some of Silicon Valleys best-known angel investors. Ron holds a Bachelors and Masters degree from Cornell University, where he graduated at the top of his class. Ron is also an active investor and adviser to several Silicon Valley startups.
Runar has been building scalable production web applications for over 15 years. He has also built High Frequency Trading platforms, with extensive experience in high volume, low latency systems. He started trading Bitcoin in 2011 and looks forward to the day he can quit carrying cash around.
Evan is a versatile software engineer experienced in building solutions in multiple layers of the stack - backend, frontend, and mobile. Prior to joining Coins.ph, he gained most of his experience in the field through working with startups and telcos. He started working on blockchain technologies in 2012 and has since been developing blockchain applications. He joined Coins.ph in 2014 as their first software engineer, and has been heavily involved in the company's projects since then.
Nelvin has been a software engineer for different startups, leading the development various front-end or back-end systems. Wanting to join a startup that can bring value to a lot of people, he joined Coins.ph in 2014 and has since been helping the company to improve and maintain its different features and components.
Eprom specializes in mobile development at Coins.ph. After graduating college, Eprom built and sold a studio management system to one of the prominent yearbook photography studios in the Philippines. His love for mobile apps lead him to start a job at the country's leading telco, Smart Communications. He then became a pioneer employee of Samsung R&D Philippines, where he lead a large group of engineers working on Samsung's Frameworks and Mobile Apps. Eprom found himself exiting the corporate world and venturing into the start-up scene by heading mobile development for multiple start-up projects. It wasn’t long until his eagerness to look for the “next big thing” led him to Coins.ph.
Justin is the Head of Business Operations at Coins.ph, where he works with marketing and other teams within Coins.ph to drive growth for the company. Prior to Coins.ph, Justin was in charge of developing ultra-low latency trading strategies for one of the top high frequency trading firms in the world. Justin graduated with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and is a CFA Charterholder.
Thea manages operations and customer support at Coins.ph. Prior to joining Coins.ph, she co-founded Made Aid, a startup that customizes first aid kits for different lifestyles, for which she was recognized as one of EO GSEA’s top student entrepreneurs in 2014. Thea graduated from Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Enterprise Development.
Before joining Coins.ph, Terese co-founded 2 startup ventures: NO Trace Screen Cleaner, a ‘drinkable screen cleaner’, and RambuCo, a social enterprise that utilizes all parts of the rambutan to help farmers. She graduated from Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in Management.
She considers reading books while sipping hot chocolate a good way to spend her day. She is a big fan of Harry Potter and Steph Curry with-the-shot-360-with-the-wrist-boi. She also gives free hugs away.
Dan worked in various multinational tech companies for 4 years before deciding to join the startup scene. He graduated from De La Salle University with a degree in Computer Science specializing in Software Technology. During his downtime, he enjoys athletic activities such as table tennis and badminton.
Prior to joining Coins.ph, Maria worked for one of Europe's top sportsbetting operators in Compliance and Project Management. Maria has also completed her training as a lawyer and holds a Master of Laws from the London School of Economics. Her passion for FinTech innovation and startup creativity led her to joining Coins.ph in Manila to further the company's mission in Southeast Asia.
Allen is passionate about music and technology. He is a staunch advocate for causes such as education, human rights, and civic participation and empowerment.
Before venturing into the fintech space, Loice was actively involved in the student council of her alma mater, UP Diliman. She was the Director of Programs of the UP Fair in 2015 and was an Officer for School Relations for the National Youth Congress in 2014. She studied Business Economics and graduated Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines - Diliman.
Allain started with Coins.ph as an operations support intern. He was assigned as support staff for customer care and order processing teams before coming onboard full-time. Prior to joining the company, he earned his Oganizational Communication degree at De La Salle University - Manila. He has a great interest in food and is a frustrated singer. He aspires to be the best in his chosen field and dreams to be a celebrity chef or host in the future.
Prior to Coins.ph, Camille had accumulated a year’s worth of experience from her internships at a global consulting firm, a fitness center, a leading confectioneries manufacturer, and a transnational FMCG company. She graduated from De La Salle University with a degree in Applied Corporate Management. She instantly lights up when she gets to talk about her favorite topic - food.
Coming from the province where most people are unbanked, Phebe has seen firsthand the need for greater access to financial services. Phebe joined Coins.ph because of its vision to accelerate financial inclusion. Before joining Coins.ph, Phebe was actively involved in spearheading programs and activities for a regional organization. She is taking up her bachelor's degree in Libary Sciences from the University of the Philippines Diliman.
Nauman is the Head of Finance of Coins.ph. He is equipped with over 10 years of broad-based experience in directing financial operations for international enterprises. He earned his bachelor's degree in Accounting and Commerce from the University of Karachi and is an ACA Charterholder from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.
Alenn is a Certified Public Accountant and had acquired training from a top accounting firm and a leading fashion retailer prior to joining the Coins.ph team. He earned his bachelor's degree in Accountancy from De La Salle University and graduated with an Outstanding Thesis Award for his group's research on trustworthy computing. His interest in technology and how it affects traditional processes led him to Coins.ph.
He is the biggest Chainsmokers fan, his favorite author is Haruki Murakami, and he likes to play League of Legends during his free time where he is currently at the Platinum division.
Prior to joining Coins.ph, Gio majored in Legal Management and was a seasoned debater of one of the country's oldest surviving debate organizations, being an Octofinalist in the National Debate Championships (NDC) 2015 and Quarterfinalist in the Global Health Debates. He's also a trained medic under Red Cross, and was part of the team that championed the Local Annual General Tactical Inspection 2013 for De La Salle University. He is currently Co-Convenor of NDC 2016.
Called "Young Gio", he is the youngest member of the team. His favorite book series is Redwall and his favorite game is Age of Empires. When not gaming, he goes on long strolls and enjoys sipping iced coffee.
Danica started her entrepreneurial career in 2012 as the owner of Dani and Cakes, an online shop that sells baked goods and pastries. One of her flagship products is Oh Mug Gosh!, a microwavable cake mix that was featured in an online metro guide and a morning talk show. Her interest in startups led her to join Coins.ph after obtaining her bachelor's degree in Business Management from University of the East.
Coming from a typical Filipino family where the only source of living was farming, Herlyn values hard work as the key to everything. From elementary school to college, she excelled at academics.
With almost a decade of experience in the field of accountancy, Jhoy finds working in a FinTech company an interesting ground to practice her profession. Before joining Coins.ph, Jhoy started her career in one of the Big Four accounting firms globally as a Financial Services Auditor under the specialized audit division for financial institutions such as universal banks, insurance and investment companies.
Aside from having fun with numbers, she keeps herself busy by regularly joining half-marathons.
Before coming into Coins.ph, Jaime was part of the IdeaSpace incubation program where he landed one of the Top 20 spots of the startup competition. Jaime earned his bachelor’s degree in education with a Major in Mathematics and a Minor in Statistics from the University of the Philippines Diliman.

Upon learning about Coins.ph, she felt like she found the exact place she has to be after earning her bachelor's degree in Management Economics from Ateneo de Manila University. She spends her days working with numbers all day (fun!) as part of the finance team. She immerses herself in various types of music during her free time.
Vanessa hails from an artistic family, with an acclaimed painter for a sister and a sculptor for a father. But she was particularly inspired by her Layout professor who sparked her interest to pursue a career in graphic design. She worked as a freelancer specializing in branding and packaging for various brands prior to joining Coins.ph. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the Technological University of the Philippines with a major in Advertising. She feeds her artistic inclinations by going to art exhibits, indie gigs, and vintage shops during her free time.
TJ developed an interest in startups because of his desire to thrive and grow in a fast-paced environment. This and his belief in the company's vision in providing financial services to the unbanked led him to join Coins.ph after graduation. He earned his degree in Legal Management and a minor in International Business from Ateneo de Manila University. He was an active member of his home organization as an associate vice president for member formation. He also spent a term in the National Sun Yat-Sen University in Taiwan under the Junior Term Abroad (JTA) program.
Yo has always been passionate about bridging opportunities and people and the development this can bring. Before joining Coins.ph, she was part of an international youth organization wherein she spent 4 years managing and spearheading community development programs for international volunteers and local communities. Upon learning what Coins.ph envisions, she knew she wanted to be part of the team and make an impact in financial services. During her free time, she rocks the house with her concert-like singing.
Pem was a founding member of the Habitat for Humanity Blue Chapter and served as its Formations Chairperson prior to joining Coins.ph. She was also involved in a consulting engagement for a startup travel company, which sparked her interest in venturing into the startup scene. She earned her degree in Management Engineering from Ateneo de Manila University and completed an International Business Program from the Université Catholique de Lyon.
Colin is an experienced Technology and Finance professional from San Francisco and joined Coins to drive the team's Product efforts. He is a long-time Bitcoin supporter and is excited by the impact that the technology will have throughout Southeast Asia.
Prior to joining Coins, he spent his career in Silicon Valley; his experiences included Special Projects at a Blockchain startup, Corporate Strategy at Samsung's Global Innovation Center, and Technology Investment Banking at Lazard Frères. He studied Economics, Applied Statistics, and French at the University of California, Santa Barbara and completed the Advanced Software Engineering program at Hack Reactor in San Francisco.
Nicola wants to build a career in the field of finance and at the same time create an impact in the society. It is for these reasons that she decided to join the Coins.ph team. Nicola graduated from Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in Management Economics.
