Digital Pilipinas gathered movers and shakers of the FinTech industry in this conference to talk about the future of FinTech. This year’s theme is “Designing an Antifragile World Powered by Digital.” Keynote addresses from industry leaders and stakeholders pushed for advocating a more digitized ecosystem for the Philippines.

From 18 to 21 October 2022, Coins.ph sparked conversations with customers and FinTech business leaders through an interactive booth at the event. Customers are able to get a donut treat when they like any of our social media pages and drop their business card.

Wei Zhou, CEO of Coins.ph, started with a keynote speech.
“We plan to make the Philippines a leader in Web 3 not just in ASEAN, but globally. Digital assets and blockchain are equalizers and can mean financial empowerment. It’s a good place to start.”
This was further supported by Safepal CEO's Veronica Wong where she discussed Bringing Web3 to the masses. She says, “E-wallets play the most critical gateway to the web3 ecosystem, and it allows users to own their data to authorize certain access to that data. This feature plays in the decentralization of identity, where users are assured with another layer of privacy and security”.

Jocelle Batapa-Sigue, Undersecretary for Information and Communications Technology Industry Development of National, mentions how blockchain integrations can better digitalize the Philippines.
Other speakers of the summit are our Managing Director, Eprom Galang, WOO Network Research Analyst, George Michael Aransazo, and McDonell-Nadeau consultant, Loretta Joseph. The summit ended with a synthesis of the topics from Coins CEO, Wei Zhou.
Coins.ph PFF Closing Party
The 5-day event was concluded with a closing party hosted by Coins.ph. The program started with a welcome message from Digital Pilipinas convenor, Amor Maclang. Shortly after, Eprom Galang joined Diamond NFT founder, Diamond Cruiser, and Tier One CEO, Tryke Gutierrez, in a more casual and fun conversation on NFTs.

The main feature of the party was Wei Zhou’s Coinmunity Address where he discussed Coins's educational partnerships with PBA, Miss Universe Philippines and DLSU. Through Coins Academy, Coins would like to bridge the gap and make crypto education accessible to all.
